Description

2007 Porsche 997 TURBO with 651 HP! 709 TQ!! (on 91 octane fuel yet!) 20" Modular wheels & stock wheels, Black/Gray THE BEST POSSIBLE MODIFICATIONS AVAILABLE! PERFECT CONDITION INSIDE AND OUT! The following is a list of the things done to the 997 turbo. First let me start by telling you that if you wanted to replicate this car it would take a bit of time. The car was done by Dynocomp in Scottsdale az which is one of the few around with and all wheel dyno. The turbos were removed and sent to RPS in Germany to be reworked, which is the same company who builds the turbos for Porsche. They are now charging 8500 PER turbo because of the exchange rate. Also it has a stage 2 Sax clutch that is a few months old it originally had a stage 3 but it was overkill the car dyno”s out at 651hp and 709 tq on 91 pump fuel it could get quite a bit more if the gas wasn’t so loosy in AZ but the car was set up safely always not to push the threshold The programming was done by Ivan from Evo tech in Germany and it has been worked over 5 different times to make sure there was nothing missed the other parts on the car: Fabspeed headers Fadspeed exhaust Fabspeed high flow cats Stage 3 remapped ECU Cold air induction system *Clear front side marker lights not pictured* Richard is the owner of dyno if you have any additional questions about the car you can call him he knows it well 480-596-0500 Interior: The center console, E- brake, Shift Knob, Door pulls , and door arm rests, and Lighted door sills all in turned aluminum, Adaptive sport seats, Bose, Navigation, phone module, etc etc etc It has another set of wheels for it also: 3pc forged 20x8.5 20x12 Liquid metal Mesh DEEP chrome lips with brushed centers!

The Latest STI Gets Dressed Up By Ings+1

writer: Terence Patrick

When awaiting the final release of something big, a sneak peek can often go a long way in helping people hold their breath. For example, when I first saw the trailer for Casino Royale, the most recent James Bond film, I knew the movie was going to be amazing. I had read that the filmmakers re-tooled the story to be more action-oriented and a bit rougher around the edges while maintaining the sheer coolness of the Bond character, and the preview certainly kept me anticipating the full showing for months on end. Similarly, upon visiting Tokyo and seeing all the latest cars that were in the process of being tuned-but not quite ready-on display by various manufacturers, I found myself anxiously wanting to see what would come of these awe-inspiring vehicles. For instance, the latest manifestation of Subaru's Impreza STI dressed to the nines by ings+1. At this point, the car is mainly an outer shell of what is to come, but it is definitely not a bad outer shell to be in. Have an exclusive first look at what is sure to be a lean, mean and super clean STI.

NISMO 350Z - New Era

Joy Ride

writer: Justin Kaehler
photographer: courtesy of Nissan

Some people will say that the NISMO 350Z-the first-ever complete NISMO-tuned car offered in the U.S.-is just "a Z with an exhaust." Don't listen to these people; they're idiots. Saying so is like saying that Neil Peart is "just another guy who plays drums." While both statements are technically correct, both car and drummer exhibit a technical mastery of their respective crafts that only true aficionados can appreciate.

Now that we've got the ponytailed Guitar Center crowd locked into subscriptions for the next two years, we can talk about the car that is the NISMO-badged Z. Yeah, it is a 350Z with an exhaust, and even NISMO's engineers will admit that the tuned shiny piece of tubular metal really doesn't add a whole lot in the way of performance. And with this exhaust being the only power adder, we could forgive you for thinking that this limited-edition Z is nothing more than a spoiler and sticker package.

But Nissan wouldn't throw that "NISMO" badge on the car if there wasn't some sort of performance-enhancing technical wizardry. Real performance tuning focuses on more than just big power, and sensing that the 350 Z's VQ35HR V6 was a potent enough powerplant, NISMO's engineers set their sights on tweaking the rest of the car. The end result is a NISMO-tuned Z that can run Tsukuba a second and a half faster than a regular 350 Z.

So just how did NISMO make the Z that much faster without upgrading the engine? Simple: It spared no expense in modifying just about everything else. Thanks to tricks like extra weld points, a new reinforcement cage in the engine bay and a reinforcement panel in the trunk, the NISMO Z's chassis is stiffer than a basement-dwelling D&D player downloading Seven of Nine JPEGs while listening to "YYZ" on repeat. We all know that a stiffer chassis is good for handling, but a super-stiff chassis can also produce a lot of brain-rattling, performance-killing body vibration. To keep this unwanted shaking in check, NISMO added some very special body dampeners to the fore and aft of the Z. With the NISMO Z's potentially seizure-like ride kept in check, the upgraded spring/damper combo can do a better job of keeping the Rays wheels (wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE050As) planted firmly on the ground.

NISMO didn't stop with just a few chassis mods. That aggressive aero kit you see was designed using the same wind tunnel and computer programs that shaped the Super GT GT500 class 350Z. The resulting aero kit is actually functional and provides real, usable downforce at highway speeds. Some may say that the kit looks a bit "ricey," but we like it. What's not to like about a kit that boasts both a factory level of fit and finish and real, wind tunnel-proven performance gains?

Though this Z's exterior gets a radical revamp, NISMO pretty much left the interior alone. Outside of the requisite racy red stitching, red door and seat inserts, NISMO tachometer and serialized NISMO-etched aluminum plaque, the NISMO Z's interior is very much stock. NISMO made sure that this car can kick ass on a track, but it also worked hard to ensure that it could be comfortably driven on a day-to-day basis. All the creature comforts we expect in a modern car-sound insulation, power windows, stereo and A/C-are all present and accounted for.

So how does this Z with "just an exhaust" drive? Unsurprisingly, it drives very much like a normal Z. We didn't have a stock Z on hand for comparison purposes, but we found the NISMO Z to be civil in heavy gridlocked traffic, poised and confident in the twisties and frighteningly fast on the freeways. The NISMO Z is a very well-balanced all-around sports car. We're eager to get one on a proper racetrack to see how it fares.

This car is so balanced as-is that NISMO is refusing to sell the parts individually. You can't buy the aero kit, you can't buy the suspension and you can't buy all the cool chassis-reinforcing parts. Its engineers say that since each component of the NISMO Z is specifically tuned to the NISMO Z alone, the parts just won't work well if they're slapped on to some random, plain old Z. This means that the only way you'll have a NISMO-look Z is to buy the complete NISMO Z from the dealer. Still, with the MSRP set just a hair higher than the 350Z Grand Touring, buying this track-ready car as a complete, factory-backed package seems like a bargain.

2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR - Red Hot

Steve Lim Takes Full Advantage Of His Job Where Membership Has Its Privileges

writer: Jonathan Wong
photographer: Wes Allison

There are two sides to Steve Lim. On one side you see an unassuming average Joe, on the other, he is one of the most dedicated car builders, racers, drifters...you get the idea. He is, in the purest sense, the very meaning of what we consider to be a true car enthusiast. Steve doesn't pay anyone to wrench on his car; he stays late nights after work and on the weekends to decipher Japanese instruction manuals and make sure the parts his company sells will work right on American market cars. Steve didn't recruit pro drifters to see how well his S13 could hang on a drift course (although his company, Mackin Industries, did), he took every chance he had to practice drifting at the local industry track events and even helped to form Industry Drift Day to show his dedication. And now, as he steps into the world of circuit racing, you won't find any hired guns to mash the gears of his Evo MR at Time Attack; Steve's going to do the dirty work himself. It's his mission and only he can do it.

After retiring his S13 drift car, Steve needed something that could not only accommodate his family's needs (especially since the birth of his son and another on the way), but could showcase one of Mackin's performance lines, ARC. The choice he had to make was between this or the STI, and it was the overall look and availability of parts that solidified his choice. "I really needed a four-door, something turbo from the start and the Evo is a true commuter car," Steve says. "Towards the end, my drift car became too hard to drive on the street and there was no way I could put my kid in the back where the seats used to be," he laughed.

So began a three month period of test fitting prototype pieces from ARC Japan, most of which now lie under the hood and can even be purchased as they've made their way to retail shelves. At last year's SEMA, the Evo debuted ARC's Super Induction intake box, a titanium exhaust, intercooler, Prestige-R valve cover and a gradient cam cover. Steve then teamed up with A'PEXi who tuned the 4G63 after he bolted in one of their RX-6 turbos to pull more boost. Unfortunately, getting the most power out of the engine was somewhat limiting since the Power FC ECU is still in development, so A'PEXi used an AFC Neo to adjust air/fuel, AVCR to adjust boost settings and a reflashed ECU from XS Engineering, all as a temporary solution until the Power FC's ready. Once installed, Steve thinks the new product could be good for up to 450hp. Meanwhile, the near perfect six-speed gearbox gets a stronger Xtreme clutch from ACT to handle the newfound power, and a Cusco limited-slip takes care of putting that power to every driveshaft.

Next, Steve used his divine influence and a deep connection to Japan's ings+ to source an aero kit that could make his MR pop. The N-Spec fiberglass pieces do exactly that, adding nice, rounded out edges that don't overpower the natural lines of the original chassis. F1 Motorsports completed the paint work while Euphoric and Six Autoworks cut the graphics. Then he put on mild touches of carbon fiber with a Seibon vented hood and rear trunk.
